The District Administration of Kangpokpi, under the ongoing Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan—India’s largest tribal empowerment initiative—conducted a public service campaign at Saikul Villages Community Hall in Saikul Sub-Division.

Supervised by BDO Kaigoulal Kipgen, MCS, the campaign covered Saikul, Thangkanphai, Mokoching, Y. Langkhong, and S. Mongbung villages. More than 260 villagers participated in the event, which featured 21 departmental stalls providing a wide range of essential services.

Key highlights included AADHAR enrollment and updation, seedling distribution by the Forest Department, and assistance from the State Bank of India in account opening and financial literacy. The Medical Department issued health cards, conducted tests for sickle cell, diabetes, and TB, and provided birth certificates.

The campaign, aimed at delivering doorstep public services and raising awareness of government schemes, was attended by District Level Officers, staff, village chairmen and secretaries, and local residents. The event was hailed as a major success in bridging the gap between administration and tribal communities.
