Guwahati, Apr 24: An Assam native has been taken into custody in connection with the double murder of a businessman and his wife in Thiruvathukkal, police confirmed on Wednesday.

The suspect, Amit Urang, was arrested from a poultry farm near Mala in Thrissur district, less than 24 hours after the crime.

The victims, Vijayakumar (64), a well-known businessman, and his wife Meera (60), were found murdered at their residence on Tuesday.
