Gangtok, Apr 24: The second leg of the inaugural Mountain Rush TSD Rally was flagged off from the Lachung Helipad on Thursday, drawing cheers and excitement from participants and spectators.

Rally drivers, including professionals and motor enthusiasts, embarked on the challenging route to Rabongla, navigating the scenic and rugged terrain of Sikkim. The rally course, with its picturesque views and demanding turns, tested both the skill and endurance of the participants.

The rally forms part of the ongoing 50 Years of Statehood celebrations, highlighting Sikkim’s natural beauty and its progress in infrastructure and connectivity under the Vibrant Village Programme.

The flag-off ceremony saw the presence of notable figures, including Lachung Pipon Sonam Tshering Lachungpa, Brigadier BS Uppal, Commander of the 123 Brigade, SDM Chungthang Arun Chettri, SDPO Chungthang Arun Thatal, motorsport stewards, and members of the organising committee.
