Aizawl, Apr 28: Mizoram Governor and former Army Chief General VK Singh visited the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday to offer prayers. In a media interaction, Singh expressed his hopes for continued blessings from Baba Mahakal, emphasizing the importance of working for the welfare of the people.

Earlier in the day, General Singh condemned the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which took place on April 22, killing 26 people, including one Nepalese national. The attack, which targeted tourists near Baisaran meadow, has sparked widespread concern.

Singh urged the public to stay vigilant to prevent similar incidents in the future. “The government is addressing the situation, and we must remain patient. It is important for everyone to be alert and report any suspicious activity before it escalates,” he said.

The Pahalgam attack, one of the deadliest since the 2019 Pulwama attack, has prompted the deployment of National Investigation Agency (NIA) teams to collect evidence, while the Indian Army has launched operations to neutralize the terrorists involved. Protests have also erupted nationwide, calling for stronger actions against Pakistan for its alleged support of terrorism.
