Guwahati, May 10: Air Marshal Surat Singh, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of Eastern Air Command, called on Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at the Lok Sewa Bhawan on Friday, amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan.

The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) confirmed the visit in a social media post, stating, “Air Marshal Surat Singh, AOC-in-C of Eastern Air Command @IAF_MCC paid a courtesy visit to HCM Dr. @himantabiswa at Lok Sewa Bhawan today.”

Discussions of importance were held during the meeting, according to the CMO.
