Guwahati, May 12: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the arrest of 53 individuals on May 11, 2025, for allegedly supporting Pakistan following the terror attack in Pahalgam. Sarma stated that while India has successfully eliminated over 100 Pakistani terrorists, Assam is taking action against those expressing support for Pakistan.

The arrests, made by various police units across the state, include:

Ajim, arrested by Karbi Anglong Police

Hasinur, detained by Dhubri Police

Abdul, apprehended by Lakhimpur Police

All 53 individuals are currently in custody as part of ongoing law enforcement efforts.
