The meeting focused on securing coal linkage for upcoming thermal power projects and developing renewable power projects in the state.

Both ministers had a productive discussion, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the coal supply chain to facilitate Assam’s energy security. The Ministry of Coal assured its commitment to supporting the state government in executing power infrastructure initiatives.

The discussion also touched on the state government’s requirements for NIRL Assam Renewable Limited (NARL) to execute renewable energy projects.
