Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, conducted a visit to several flood-affected areas in Imphal city this morning, including Kangla Nongpok Thong, Lairikyengbam Leikai, and Singjamei Bridge.

During his visit, the Governor personally assessed the condition of the river and directed officials to maintain vigilant monitoring while implementing pre-emptive safety measures. He emphasized the importance of quick response to prevent further damage.

State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have been placed on alert, with evacuation and relief operations actively underway to safeguard residents.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment, the Governor assured that the Manipur administration is dedicated to supporting affected communities and ensuring prompt relief and recovery efforts.
