Kohima, Jun 13: Advisor for School Education and SCERT, Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, has highlighted the regional disparities in academic performance across Nagaland.
Speaking at a felicitation programme held in Kohima for the Toppers, Rank Holders, and Achievers of the HSLC and HSSLC Examinations 2025, Dr. Yhome noted that while districts like Kohima and Dimapur continue to lead in academic achievements, several other districts remain absent from top rankings.
Districts such as Phek, Peren, Shamator, Meluri, Longleng, Niuland, Kiphire, Zunheboto, and Tsiminyu had no representation in the top 10 positions across any stream. He attributed these disparities to differences in access to basic educational infrastructure and services, and emphasized the need for targeted interventions to ensure balanced academic growth throughout the state.
