Tensung Namgyal Bhutia from Namchi district secured a bronze medal in the Boys 9 Years 35kg category at the 4th KIO National Karate Championship held in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, from 11 to 15 June 2025.

Bhutia was among five karatekas representing Namchi district in the national event. His podium finish marks a commendable achievement and highlights the growing presence of young talent from Sikkim in martial arts at the national level.
