Guwahati, Jun 19: A total of 481 youths from across Assam received appointment letters for various government posts on Wednesday, marking another phase in the state government’s ongoing recruitment drive.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed the appointment letters during a ceremony held at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati. The new appointees include 443 Veterinary Field Assistants, 12 Tourism Development Officers, 23 Lecturers at District Institutes of Education and Training (DIET), and 3 Assistant Directors in the rank of Assistant Professor at the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT).
Congratulating the newly appointed officers, the Chief Minister urged them to serve the people of Assam with honesty and commitment. He emphasized the government’s transparent and merit-based recruitment process.
With this latest round of appointments, the total number of government jobs provided since 2021 has reached 1,20,840.
