Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, along with Governor Om Prakash Mathur, Cabinet ministers, MPs, MLAs, top officials, and students, participated in the 11th International Day of Yoga celebrations held at the indoor hall of Paljor Stadium on Saturday.
Taking to his official Facebook account, the Chief Minister expressed his appreciation for the Prime Minister’s efforts in elevating yoga to a globally recognized practice. He said, “I wholeheartedly applaud the initiative of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who strived towards providing international recognition to the ancient practice of Yoga, the heritage and glory of our country.”

The Chief Minister also referred to the Prime Minister’s address from Visakhapatnam, in which Modi stated that after 11 years, yoga has become an integral part of millions of lives around the world. Modi termed this year’s celebration as “Yoga for Humanity 2.0”, underscoring its global relevance.
CM Tamang extended his gratitude to the National Ayush Mission under the Health and Family Welfare department for organizing the event in Sikkim.
