Assamese filmmaker Rima Das has been awarded the Best Director prize at the 25th New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF) for her film Village Rockstars 2. Announcing the achievement on social media, Das expressed her happiness and congratulated the other winners of the festival.

“Thrilled to receive the Best Director award at the New York Indian Film Festival! Congratulations to all the other wonderful winners,” she wrote.
