Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday came out in strong support of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Chief Executive Member Tuliram Ronghang, praising his leadership and the region’s progress under his tenure.
In a post shared on his official X handle, the Chief Minister described Ronghang as a respected leader who rose from a modest Karbi village to lead the KAAC. Sarma said that under Ronghang’s stewardship, Karbi Anglong has witnessed unprecedented development, peace, and stability.
“Today, Diphu is recognised as one of the most developed headquarters, a testament to his vision and dedication to the Karbi people,” Sarma noted.
The Chief Minister also condemned attempts to defame Ronghang, alleging that such efforts were being made by individuals working at the behest of hostile forces like Pakistan. “Such attempts will not dampen the spirit of progress,” CM added.
Sarma reiterated that the people of Karbi Anglong remain united in their commitment to preserving the hard-earned peace and continuing their journey toward development.
