Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Tuesday met Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, George Kurian, to discuss key proposals aimed at boosting Mizoram’s livestock, dairy, and fisheries sectors.
During the meeting, held as part of the Chief Minister’s official visit to Delhi, Lalduhoma presented five project proposals submitted under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY). These include the establishment of an Integrated Aqua Park at Zawlnuam, as well as initiatives under the Chakma and Lai Autonomous District Councils. Additional projects were proposed by the Mizoram Fish Farmers, Animal and Husbandry, Dairy Producers and Marketing Association, and the Mizoram Cooperative Fish Farming Marketing and Processing Federation Limited.
The Chief Minister urged the Union Minister to expedite the approval process for the proposals. In response, George Kurian assured full support and said he would personally review the submissions to facilitate their implementation.
