Pasighat Advanced Landing Ground (ALG) team won the maiden Inter Advanced Landing Ground football tournament organised by the Eastern Air Command at Golden Jubilee Outdoor Stadium, Yupia, on Tuesday. Pasighat ALG defeated ALG Aalo 4-2 in the final to lift the winner’s trophy.

Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General (Retd.) K.T. Parnaik, the chief guest, praised the Indian Air Force’s efforts in promoting sports among youth. He said such events foster discipline, teamwork, and a sense of purpose, while also inspiring patriotic spirit and encouraging young people to consider careers in the armed forces.

The tournament featured eight teams representing ALGs from Tawang, Ziro, Mechuka, Aalo, Pasighat, Tuting, Walong, and Vijoynagar, with participation from both IAF personnel and local players.
