Itanagar, July 9: Pungni Tara from Arunachal Pradesh clinched one gold and two silver medals in the 44kg category at the Asian Youth Weightlifting Championship held in Kazakhstan, earning recognition for both the state and the nation.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu praised her achievement in a social media post, stating that she has made Arunachal Pradesh and India proud. He extended his best wishes for her continued strength and success in the sport.
