Guwahati, Jul 10: The flood situation in Assam improved slightly on Wednesday, with a decline in the number of affected districts and people, according to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).
Despite the improvement, the death toll from this year’s floods and landslides rose to 30 after a fresh fatality was reported from the Morongi revenue circle in Golaghat district.
Of the total deaths, six were caused by mudslides triggered by heavy rainfall.
