In a major step towards streamlining visitor entry and embracing digital governance, the Government of Manipur is set to launch a digital Inner Line Permit (ILP) registration and issuance system at Imphal Airport — the first of its kind in the state.

The initiative aims to modernize the ILP process, making it faster, more efficient, and user-friendly. Similar systems are also expected to be installed at the Jiribam and Mao entry points in the coming days.

Earlier, Chief Secretary Prashant Kumar Singh, IAS, along with officials and the Airport Director, reviewed and tested the functionality of the newly installed ILP kiosk system at Imphal Airport on Tuesday. The digital kiosk reportedly enables permit registration in just three minutes.

The move is expected to significantly improve the overall experience for travelers entering Manipur while enhancing the effectiveness of the state’s regulatory framework.
