Agartala, July 17, 2025: Tripura’s Animal Resources Development (ARD), Fisheries and Scheduled Caste Welfare minister Sudhangshu Das chaired a district-level review meeting on Thursday at the PRTI Conference Hall in Udaipur, Gomati district to evaluate the implementation of various departmental schemes for the 2025–26 financial year.

The meeting brought together senior officials from the ARD, Fisheries, and SC Welfare departments to assess the timely delivery of government benefits to registered beneficiaries. A key focus was on ensuring that schemes under the departments were reaching the intended recipients effectively and within set deadlines.

Minister Das emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and service efficiency during the review. “This meeting underscores our collective commitment to ensuring that all government benefits reach the grassroots without delay. Real development occurs when the last-mile delivery is both efficient and empathetic,” he told reporters following the session.

He praised the efforts of district officials and urged them to continue taking proactive steps to maintain the momentum in governance. “Gomati’s development is a shared mission. I appreciate the dedication shown by our officers in driving transparency and responsiveness across departments,” Das added.

The review also featured detailed discussions on the ongoing implementation of schemes related to livestock development, fisheries enhancement, and welfare programs targeted at Scheduled Caste communities. Emphasis was placed on inter-departmental coordination and timely execution of initiatives to improve socio-economic outcomes in the district.

Officials agreed to strengthen monitoring mechanisms and address any bottlenecks hindering the flow of benefits, with a shared goal of enhancing the impact of welfare programs at the grassroots level.
