The Meteorological Centre of Itanagar has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and heavy rainfall at isolated places in Papumpare and Anjaw districts, prompting the issuance of an orange alert.

A yellow alert has also been issued for 16 other districts across the state, warning of likely moderate rainfall and thunderstorm activity. Residents have been advised to remain cautious and follow safety guidelines.
