Meghalaya Government Launches Probe Into Alleged Misappropriation Of 4,000 MT Coal

The Meghalaya government has instructed district authorities and police to conduct a detailed investigation into the alleged misappropriation of more than 4,000 metric tonnes (MT) of coal in the state. Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Prestone Tynsong said on Saturday that all deputy commissioners and superintendents of police have been directed to carry out a thorough inquiry.

The probe aims to identify any illegal diversion or misuse of coal and ensure accountability.
