Manipur Director General of Police (DGP) Rajiv Singh on Monday warned that stringent action will be taken against all those involved in drug-related activities in the state, including errant police personnel.

Speaking at the Har Ghar Tiranga Bike Rally, jointly organised by the Manipur Police Department and the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports as part of Independence Day celebrations, the DGP stressed the police force’s commitment to combating the escalating drug menace in Manipur and across the Northeast.

The rally, which began at Hatta Kangjeibung and concluded at the Khongjom War Memorial Complex, was flagged off by Governor Anusuiya Uikey, Security Advisor Kuldeep Singh, Chief Secretary Puneet Kumar Goel, and DGP Rajiv Singh. It saw participation from 1,017 motorcycles—137 from the police department and 880 from 18 biker clubs across the state.

The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign aims to inspire citizens to hoist the national flag with pride, symbolising unity and patriotism.
