Nagaland Observes Partition Horrors Remembrance Day

Kohima, August 14: Nagaland joined the nation in observing the Partition Horrors Remembrance Day with several events held across the state. In Dimapur, a programme was organized by the BJP under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Former MLA Khekaho Assumi, addressing the gathering, reflected on the 1947 partition, emphasizing that the observance was non-political and aimed at preventing such tragedies in the future. Nagaland University also marked the day with a symposium featuring academic discussions on the historical, economic, social, and cultural impacts of the Partition.
