Agartala, August 22, 2025: With an eye on shaping the future of Tripura, Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday released the vision document “Viksit Tripura-2047” at Pragya Bhavan, Agartala. The roadmap aims to transform Tripura into a self-sufficient and prosperous state by 2047, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s national vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047.”

Highlighting the theme of “Viksit Tripura, Shrestha Tripura,” Dr. Saha said the document outlines targets across multiple sectors including economic growth, per capita income, GDP expansion, 100% renewable energy, universal literacy, women empowerment, and boosting international trade.

“Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our goal is to ensure an inclusive, safe, prosperous, and healthy future for the common people of Tripura,” the Chief Minister said.

She added that the vision is not merely aspirational but backed by measurable goals.

“Keeping in mind the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’, we have set the target of building a 124 million dollar economy in Tripura. Everyone has an important role to play in this mission,” Dr. Saha stated.

The Chief Minister also recalled the government’s achievements in recent years, noting progress in education, health, infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, and IT.

“During our tenure, 19,742 government jobs, including die-in-harness cases, have been provided. Special emphasis has also been given to women empowerment,” she emphasized.

On the occasion, state’s council of ministers and NITI Aayog Programme Director Rajiv Kumar Sen also addressed the gathering, stressing on collaborative efforts between the Centre and the state to achieve these ambitious goals. Members of the state cabinet were present at the release ceremony.
