Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio launched the memoir “Oying Motsü – The Story of Our Threads”, authored by Abeni TCK, at an event in Kohima on Friday.
Speaking at the launch, CM Rio said the memoir beautifully blends the author’s personal journey with Naga textile traditions, highlighting the craftsmanship of the Lotha tribe and honoring the legacy of Naga weavers. He congratulated Abeni for her efforts in documenting the weaving heritage, describing her work as an inspiration for younger generations to value and continue the wisdom of Naga weavers.
In her address, Abeni said the memoir is not only a personal account of her weaving journey but also a testament to the incredible legacy of ancestors who have carried this art from one generation to the next.
