Agartala, September 02, 2025: In a festive gesture, the Government of Tripura has announced that state government and PSU employees will receive their September salaries in advance to coincide with Durga Puja celebrations.

According to a memorandum issued by the Department of Finance, the salary for September 2025 will be disbursed on September 26, 2025 instead of the usual date of October 1. The move comes in view of the Puja holidays for state government offices, which will begin on September 27 and continue till October 6, 2025.

“All concerned are requested to take necessary action accordingly,” the order stated.

The memorandum, signed by Dinesh Debbarma, Under Secretary to the Government of Tripura has been circulated to all Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, Special Secretaries, and Heads of Departments. Copies have also been sent to the Governor’s Secretariat, Chief Minister’s Office, Finance Minister, Chief Secretary, Tripura Legislative Assembly, High Court of Tripura, Tripura Public Service Commission, and the Accountant General, among others.

This decision is expected to bring relief and joy to thousands of government employees and their families, enabling them to celebrate Durga Puja with greater ease and preparation.
