Tripura Schools and Colleges to Receive Awards in 11 Categories; Five Named for Green Initiatives

Agartala, September 04, 2025: The Government of Tripura has announced that the state’s best-performing schools will be felicitated on the occasion of the 64th Teachers’ Day on September 5, 2025. The Directorate of Secondary Education has finalized the list of schools to be awarded for their outstanding contribution in academics, sports, culture, and overall development of students.

According to an official memo, Dudphur High School in Unakoti has been nominated as the Best School for Attendance, while Kathalia Girls HS School in Sepahijala has been named the Best School in TBSE Results and Rajnagar Colony HS School in South Tripura has been selected as the Best School in CBSE Results. PM SHRI Nabagram HS School in West Tripura has been chosen as the Best School in Games and Sports. For Cultural and Co-curricular Activities, Golden Valley HS School in North Tripura and Teliamura HS School in Khowai have been nominated.

In the category of Implementation of PM POSHAN, the selected schools are West Daluchara High School in Dhalai, PM SHRI Janoday English Medium School in South Tripura, PM SHRI Radha Kishore Institution in Unakoti, Sukanta Academy English Medium HS School in West Tripura, and Kirit Bikram Institution in Gomati. For Information Technology, PM SHRI Sabroom Girls HS School in South Tripura, Mungiabari HS School in Khowai, and Khudiram Basu English Medium School in West Tripura have been nominated.

The award for Best School in Swachhata (Cleanliness) will go to Ratan Roaja Para High School in Dhalai and West Bokafa HS School in South Tripura. Bhagat Singh English Medium HS School in West Tripura has been selected as the Best School for Overall Performance. In the higher education category, Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya in Gomati has been chosen as the Best Government Degree College/Professional College, and TTAADC Polytechnic Institution in West Tripura has been named the Best Polytechnic Institution.

Additionally, five schools have been nominated for Best Green Initiatives: Mendi Hour High School in Dhalai, Bir Bikram Institution in North Tripura, Rabi Gopal Para High School in Sepahijala, Sarashima HS School in South Tripura, and Tripura Lokshikshaloya High School in West Tripura.

The Education Department has directed District Education Officers to invite the concerned Principals and Headmasters to attend the state-level Teachers’ Day programme in Agartala, where the awards will be presented.
