Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday confirmed that 18 Bangladeshi infiltrators have been sent back from the state.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the state government is taking strict measures to prevent illegal immigrants from re-entering Assam. Addressing public concerns on social media, Sarma stated that all pushbacks are being carried out strictly according to protocol.
“We are doing everything in protocol to ensure that these infiltrators don’t come back again in Assam,” Sarma wrote in a post on X.
