Agartala, September 20, 2025: Tripura Leader of Opposition and CPIM state secretary Jitendra Chaudhury on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the ruling BJP, accusing them of cowardice and vowing to continue the struggle until the saffron party is removed from power.

Chaudhury’s remarks came after his visit to the CPIM’s Pratapgarh local committee office in Agartala, which was allegedly vandalized by BJP-backed miscreants using a bulldozer. “They used a bulldozer and destroyed the office around 2 pm. It was a pre-planned attack,” he alleged.

Calling the incident an example of “barbarism,” the CPIM leader said, “The RSS-BJP rule in Tripura has peaked in its atrocities. For seven years, they have looted people by giving false promises. There is no law, no democracy. Now people are rising against their misrule.”

He further claimed the attackers struck under the cover of darkness. “They are cowards who don’t dare to come in broad daylight. This is what they call development—vandalizing offices and killing democracy every day. But our movement will not stop until BJP is ousted from power,” Chaudhury asserted.

The Opposition leader added that CPIM would lodge a formal police complaint and submit all relevant documents regarding the incident.
