The Nagaland State Cabinet on Thursday decided to form a Cabinet Sub-committee to examine the ongoing dispute over IAS induction, amid protests by the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC).

The Sub-committee will be led by Deputy Chief Minister T.R. Zeliang and will include Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton, Minister K.G. Kenye, Minister Metsubo Jamir, and Chief Secretary Sentiyanger Imchen.

Addressing a press conference, Minister K.G. Kenye said the Sub-committee is scheduled to hold its first meeting on October 20 and expressed hope for a peaceful resolution to the matter.
