Agartala, October 22, 2025: Former Chief Minister of Tripura and Member of Parliament Biplab Kumar Deb on Tuesday launched a sharp attack against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, calling her a “demon” and alleging that the people of the state are prepared to oust her government to restore “human values.”
Speaking to reporters after offering prayers at Indranagar Kali Bari in Agartala, Deb, who serves as the BJP’s election co-incharge for West Bengal, accused Banerjee of losing compassion and humanity in her governance.
“The Chief Minister of West Bengal has turned into a demon. I believe she has no heart or feelings. No one could imagine a woman behaving in such a way. Her name, Mamata, has become infamous as there are no human values left in the state. Murder, rape, and attacks have become daily incidents,” Deb said.
He further compared Banerjee’s name to historical figures associated with betrayal, saying people have stopped using such names.
Claiming that the people of West Bengal are “ready to end misrule,” Deb said he has held several meetings in the state and sensed growing resentment against the Trinamool Congress government. “BJP will fight for the survival of human values there, and the people’s victory will free them from this demonic rule,” he asserted.
