Agartala, October 24, 2025: The Tripura government has directed an immediate assessment of damages following the vandalism of several shops allegedly linked to the Tipra Motha party in the Santirbazar area under the Surma assembly constituency under Dhalai district.

Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha announced the directive via his official social media handle, stating that the District Magistrate of Dhalai has been instructed to take all necessary measures to evaluate the extent of the losses.

“The government stands firmly with the affected shopkeepers and local residents of Santirbazar,” Dr. Saha said. He assured that all necessary steps will be taken to rehabilitate those impacted by the incident.

According to administrative sources, once a detailed report on the damages is compiled, the government will promptly initiate relief and rehabilitation efforts.
