Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at Katangbam and Katiang villages in Tamenglong district, Manipur, under Operation Sadbhavana to provide essential healthcare services to the local population.
A total of 100 villagers, including children, women, and elderly persons, benefitted from the initiative. The medical team conducted general health check-ups and distributed free medicines as part of the welfare programme.
During the camp, cases of cataract, hypertension, and dental caries were identified, and necessary medical advice, treatment, and referrals for further care were provided.
Residents of both villages expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Assam Rifles for organising the medical outreach and extending much-needed healthcare support in the remote areas of the district.
