Agartala, October 28, 2025: Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, IPS, Special Director General (SDG) of the BSF Eastern Command, arrived in Tripura today on a three-day official visit to review the security situation along the Indo-Bangladesh border.

On his arrival at the MBB Airport, the SDG was received by the Inspector General of BSF Tripura Frontier. A Guard of Honour was presented to him at the BSF Headquarters, followed by a detailed briefing by the Frontier IG on operational preparedness and key strategic issues.

During the day, Aggarwal called on Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, Director General of Police Anurag (IPS), and Chief Secretary J. K. Sinha (IAS). The meetings focused on the prevailing security scenario and matters related to border management and coordination among security agencies.

As part of his visit, the SDG will tour several border outposts to review on-ground operations and interact with field commanders and troops. The visit is aimed at further strengthening operational efficiency and boosting the morale of BSF personnel deployed along the border.
