Special DG BSF Reviews Border Security During Three-Day Visit to Tripura

Agartala, October 30, 2025: Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, IPS, Special Director General (Eastern Command), Border Security Force (BSF), Kolkata, concluded his three-day visit to Tripura on Wednesday after an extensive review of the security situation and operational preparedness along the Indo–Bangladesh border.

According to BSF officials, Aggarwal, accompanied by Aloke Kumar Chakraborty, Inspector General of BSF Tripura Frontier, visited several Border Out Posts (BOPs) in Khowai, Dhalai, and Unakoti districts on October 28 and 29. During the visit, he assessed ground-level security measures and interacted with officers and jawans deployed in forward areas.

As part of his visit, the Special DG also presided over a Prahari Sammelan, where he heard the operational and administrative concerns of personnel. Commending their professionalism and dedication, Aggarwal praised the troops for maintaining the sanctity of the international border under demanding conditions.

To boost morale, Aggarwal spent the night at a remote Border Out Post and shared a Prahari Bhoj (meal) with BSF personnel, acknowledging their service and commitment.

Emphasizing the importance of vigilance and inter-agency coordination, he lauded the efforts of the BSF Tripura Frontier in ensuring effective border management. The Special DG departed for Kolkata on the evening of October 29.
