A press conference was held today at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Tamenglong, to announce a Unity March organised by the District Administration in collaboration with Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) Tamenglong.

Briefing the media, Deputy Commissioner Dr. L. Angshim Dangshawa, IAS, said the event is being organised to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, popularly known as the Iron Man of India.

“As a mark of respect, patriotism, and unity, the District Administration will hold a Unity March on October 31, 2025,” Dr. Dangshawa said. The march will begin at 7:00 AM, assembling at Jadonang Park and proceeding to Apollo Ground, Tamenglong.

He further appealed to the general public and students to actively participate in the event, adding that T-shirts will be distributed to all participants.

The press conference was also attended by Chunthuingam Dangmei, Youth Officer, MY Bharat Tamenglong, along with other dignitaries.
