Itanagar, Nov 5: The Arunachal Pradesh State Election Commission (SEC) has intensified preparations for the upcoming panchayat and urban local body elections scheduled for December.

State Election Commissioner Rinchen Tashi on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting with Chief Secretary Kaling Tayeng and Inspector General of Police (Law & Order) Chuku Apa to assess the readiness for the polls.

According to an official statement, the review focused on ensuring comprehensive security measures and the smooth conduct of elections for the Itanagar Municipal Corporation, Pasighat Municipal Council, and panchayats across the state.
