Kohima Police have arrested Samuel Zao, the uncle of 22-year-old Vihozhonu Zao, as the prime suspect in the murder case. The arrest took place on the night of 4th November at the accused’s residence.

Speaking at a press conference at the Superintendent of Police (SP) office on Thursday, SP Krodi Rhetso said the Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by Additional Superintendent of Police K. Soriso and supported by eight other members, carried out a thorough investigation that led to the arrest.

SP Rhetso added that Samuel Zao has confessed to the crime, stating that the murder occurred around 2:00 PM on 24th October.
