Manipur’s Jeet Kune-Do athletes have delivered an impressive performance at the World Youth Games 2025, winning four gold medals and one silver at the event held from 5 to 8 November at the Pattaya Sports Complex in Thailand.
Competing under the Indian flag, the Manipur team demonstrated exceptional skill, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the championship. Chungkham Ningthem secured gold in the +19 years men’s 50–55 kg category, while Samom Kenedy Singh clinched another gold in the 55–60 kg category. Laishram Dinesh Singh added to the tally with gold in the 60–65 kg division, and Tomcruise Laishram earned the fourth gold in the 65–70 kg category. In the women’s section, Naorem Rani Chanu won a silver medal in the +19 years 55–60 kg category.
The athletes were accompanied and guided by Dr. Moirangthem Ibomcha, Coach of the Indian Jeet Kune-Do Team, who expressed pride in the team’s outstanding achievements.
