Agartala, November 12, 2025: Alert CISF personnel at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport, Agartala, recovered seven gold biscuits weighing approximately 740 grams and valued at around ₹88 lakh from a passenger attempting to smuggle them to Lucknow via Kolkata.

According to airport sources, the gold was concealed in the passenger’s rectum. Following detection, Customs officials and a doctor from ILS Hospital assisted in recovering the gold.

The passenger, along with his co-traveller and the seized gold, was handed over to Customs authorities for further investigation.
