Aizawl, Nov 13: Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Thursday held a meeting at his office to review the ongoing plans for establishing the NCC Mizoram Group Headquarters. The meeting was attended by Minister for Sports and Youth Services Lalnghinglova Hmar and other senior officials.

Currently, Mizoram has four NCC units with around 8,000 cadets, all administered under the Silchar Group Headquarters. In July, NCC authorities proposed setting up a separate Mizoram Group Headquarters, which was approved by the Mizoram Council of Ministers in September.

The discussions during the meeting focused on identifying a suitable location and assessing the requirements for the new headquarters. Once established, the Mizoram Group Headquarters will oversee all NCC units in the state under the NCC’s administrative framework, with the State Government facilitating its implementation.
