Agartala, November 18, 2025: Tripura’s Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das on Tuesday urged his department to play a more proactive role in ensuring that the benefits of central and state government projects reach every beneficiary.

Speaking at a state-level review meeting organized by the SC Welfare Department at Gorkhabasti in Agartala, Das emphasized the need for effective implementation of welfare schemes.

“The projects undertaken for the welfare of Scheduled Caste communities must be implemented properly. Alongside evaluating the progress of departmental programmes in the 2025–26 financial year, priority must be given to timely execution of the action plan for the upcoming fiscal year,” the minister said.

During the meeting, officials reviewed the progress of various departmental projects and services. Detailed discussions were also held on scholarship schemes for SC students, the disbursement process, and existing challenges.

Secretary Deepa D Nair, Director and senior officials from multiple departments were present at the session.
