Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat is set to arrive in Manipur on November 20, marking his first visit to the state since ethnic violence erupted two years ago, an RSS functionary said on Wednesday.
According to RSS State General Secretary Tarunkumar Sharma, Bhagwat will spend three days in Manipur, during which he will interact with citizens, entrepreneurs and representatives of various tribal communities. The engagements are part of the organisation’s nationwide centenary celebrations, a news agency reported.
Bhagwat, who is currently on a three-day tour of Assam for similar programmes commemorating 100 years of RSS, last visited Manipur in 2022, another senior functionary confirmed.
