Agartala, November 21, 2025: Tripura Pradesh BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee was admitted to a private hospital in the city after suddenly falling ill on Friday.

According to party and family sources, he was taken to ILS Hospital after experiencing discomfort and chest pain.

Doctors at the hospital are currently monitoring his health and conducting a series of medical tests to assess his condition.

Upon learning of his hospitalisation, Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha rushed to the hospital to inquire about his health. The Chief Minister spoke with the medical team overseeing his treatment and assured that all necessary measures are being taken.

Speaking to the media personnel after his visit, Dr. Saha said that Bhattacharya’s condition is stable at present, although several diagnostic tests are still underway. He added that Bhattacharya had been suffering from chest pain for some time, and his condition worsened earlier in the day, prompting immediate admission.

“If required, he may be shifted to a hospital outside the state, after consultation with his family members,” the Chief Minister stated.
