Agartala, November 29, 2025: Acting on a tip-off, police in Madhupur conducted a special operation that led to the seizure of approximately 2,400 yaba tablets and the arrest of one suspect.

Police sources informed that a special team from Madhupur Police Station carried out a raid in the West Harihordola area following confidential information. During the operation, officers noticed suspicious movements by Rubel Mia and detained him for questioning. Subsequent searches reportedly uncovered around 2,400 yaba tablets in his possession.

Investigating officers confirmed that samples of the seized tablets have been sent for forensic examination. Meanwhile, legal proceedings are underway to file a case against Rubel Mia under relevant sections of the Narcotics Control Act.
