Manipur: Sangai Festival Concludes With Message Of Unity And Cultural Pride

The 12th Manipur Sangai Festival concluded on November 30 at the Bhagyachandra Open-Air Theatre, where Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla highlighted the event’s growing role as a national and international outreach platform.

The closing ceremony brought together tourism stakeholders from across India and abroad. Governor Bhalla said this year’s edition ended on a “note of unity and cultural pride despite the challenges faced,” emphasising the festival’s significance in showcasing Manipur’s rich heritage.

He underscored the state government’s efforts to boost tourism through focused promotion and infrastructure development, stating that strategic investment and sustained support remain key to enhancing Manipur’s tourism potential.
