Agartala, December 8, 2025: In the run-up to the grand closing ceremony of the Unity Promo Fest–2025, scheduled for December 12 at Swami Vivekananda Maidan, a high-level coordination meeting was held at the Secretariat on Monday.
The meeting was chaired by Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and attended by senior officials, including the Secretary of the Tourism Department, the Inspector General (Law and Order), the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police of West Tripura, along with senior and joint directors of the department and other key functionaries.
The discussions centred on logistical planning, maintenance of law and order, crowd control measures, and coordination among various departments to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the event. The Minister stressed the need for collective responsibility and seamless cooperation, underscoring that the festival reflects the spirit of unity and celebration in the state.
Organised by the state Tourism Department, the Unity Promo Fest–2025 has already attracted widespread public attention, with the concluding programme expected to draw a massive turnout.
Meanwhile, excitement in Agartala has reached a high pitch as popular Bollywood playback singer Jubin Nautiyal is set to perform at the same venue on December 12. The Tourism Department began the distribution of entry passes on Monday, with an overwhelming response from the public. Long queues were seen at the Agartala Town Hall as music lovers waited for hours under the sun to secure their passes.
Officials said the heavy rush for passes highlights the singer’s immense popularity in Tripura and indicated that similar turnout is expected in the coming days. Final preparations for the show are now underway, with the event poised to become one of the most significant cultural highlights of the year in the state.
