Agartala, December 10, 2025: A shocking case of sexual assault has surfaced in Tripura’s Chandipara village, West Ludhua under Sabroom police station of South district. A 45-year-old man identified as Alindra Tripura has been accused of raping his 13-year-old daughter late last night.

Police sources informed that the complaint was lodged around 1:30 am, alleging that the accused forcibly took the minor to a nearby rubber plantation after gagging her and committed the crime. The survivor was brought to the police station and an investigation has been initiated.

Given the gravity of the incident, a forensic team from South District headquarters in Belonia has already reached the crime scene to collect evidence.

Speaking to the media personnel on Wednesday morning, the survivor’s relative Rajkumar Tripura stated that the accused has been absconding since the incident. Police in Sabroom have launched a search operation and assured that the matter is being treated with utmost seriousness.

A full-scale investigation is currently underway.
