Manipur: Noney District Gets First Fire Sub-Station At Longmai

The first-ever Fire Sub-Station of Noney district was inaugurated and dedicated to the public at Longmai Part-5 on Wednesday, marking a major milestone in strengthening emergency services in the district.

The Fire Sub-Station was inaugurated by Chairman of the Hill Areas Committee and MLA of 54-Nungba Assembly Constituency, Dinganglung Gangmei, in the presence of Director of Fire Service, L. Nabachandra Singh, and Superintendent of Police, Noney district, Namsadai Peter Pamei.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Gangmei lauded the Director of Fire Service and the land donor for their efforts and generosity in making the long-cherished demand of the people a reality. He also handed over a mobile phone handset bearing the emergency service number 6909014951 to the newly posted Officer-in-Charge of the Fire Sub-Station, Gaikhaongam Palmei.

Emphasising the current situation in Manipur, the HAC Chairman called for collective responsibility to restore peace and communal harmony. He urged people to stand united to protect and safeguard the territorial integrity of the state, stating that the BJP-led government at the Centre remains committed to preserving Manipur’s territorial integrity.
